Maple Chocolate Chip Cookies


This makes a very soft moist golden cookie. The recipe is really only intended for white chocolate chips but I was being greedy and added dark chocolate chips in addition. Naughty mommy the girls would say ... 


Ingredients

softened butter - 250 grams /8.5 ounces or 1 UK stick of butter or 2 US sticks of butter 
sugar -  12 ounces (1.5 cups) or 340 grams 
maple syrup - 4 ounces (1/2 cup) or 115 grams 
vanilla extract - 1 tablespoon 
eggs - 2 large
flour - 20 ounces (2.5 cups) or 567 grams  
baking powder - 1 teaspoon
white chocolate chips - 1 cup or 200grams 

1. Preheat oven to 180 C (160 C fan or 350 F).
2. Sift together flour and baking powder and set aside. 
3. In a large bowl cream together sugar, butter, and maple syrup. Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk together. 
4. Add flour/baking power and mix to combine.
5. Fold in chocolate chips. 
6. Drop dough buy tablespoon onto parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely on wire rack before serving.
